About
Hi, I'm Natalie!

I am a multimedia journalist with hands-on experience in the digital media and audio space. My work derives from my passion for consuming culture and human-interest stories.
We see culture in our everyday lives. It's in movies, music, art, books, dance, theater, fashion, and so much more. Culture extends toward the human experience and how people shape the world. Much of my work also includes feminist discourse, highlighting the underrepresentation of cultural critics who identify as women.

My strengths within my reporting include research, news analysis, and interviewing. I have had the pleasure of interviewing Hollywood creatives in front and behind the scenes, including S.W.A.T. creator Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, Falling for Christmas editor Kristi Shimek, Broadway's The Minutes and My Cousin Vinny star Austin Pendleton, and West End and Broadway actor Andy Nyman.

Recently, I served as content writer and editor for entertainment site, hollywood.com, where I used my news management skills, and creative structured thinking to lead online production. I also have experience writing freelance, focusing on entertainment, fashion, and e-commerce.
In May of 2021, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Emerson College in Boston. Here, I jumped into all forms of journalism, with a specific interest in audio, volunteering as a DJ for 2 of my college's radio stations, WERS and WECB. I hope to pursue both radio and podcast mediums in the future, as they make for beautiful storytelling when in combination with the written word. Also, I dabbled in the performing arts, spending four years in an a cappella group and participating in live theater.

While I currently reside in my hometown in the Greater Boston area, I have my sights on New York City. All in all, I have an immense love for people and culture. I want to continue developing stories where culture and people sit at the center.
